Want to give puppy love or kitten kisses as a present? We have adoption fee gift certificates available. These allow you to give the gift of a new loving pet, but allow the recipient to pick their own dog or cat of their dreams! We recommend giving a certificate with a few pet supplies, and when your loved one is ready, they can come down and choose their perfect new companion! Contact us for more information!
EVHS now offers microchipping to the public. A microchip is a small object about the size of a grain of rice that is injected under the skin between the animal's shoulder blades. When this area is scanned with an electronic scanner an ID number is produced. This number can then be checked with a national database and the owner's information is obtained. A microchip can save your animal's life if it is ever lost and loses its tags. Every animal in our shelter is scanned. The most important thing to remember with microchipping is to be sure to keep the information current. Both dogs and cats can be microchipped.
